Nothing is new anymore. Every movie is a remake. Some movies are even remakes of TV shows. Where has all the originality gone?
When I lived in Spain the only TV show I watched was Alla Tu, a game show that even a slow-thinking American could understand. The host, Jesus Vasquez, was divine and the contestants also acted as the Vanna Whites, displaying the boxes that contained prize amounts.
Sure enough, it's been ripped off by the U.S.. Now we have Deal or No Deal with the not-so-divine host, Howie Mandel. I'll admit, I still like the concept of the show, but is nothing sacred these days? Alla Tu was my guilty Spanish pleasure. Now I have to watch Howie Mandel pretend to know the names of the 25 or so models all wearing the same dress.
I say No Deal.
Jesus or Howie? You be the judge.
